I primarily work with preteens, teenagers, and women and have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, adjusting to changes in life, and identity issues. Prior to entering into the field of counseling, I received a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise. I also worked for several years on staff with a Christian college ministry at Virginia Tech. These experiences have contributed to my holistic approach to counseling, considering the interconnectedness of one's psychological, emotional, spiritual, and physical health on overall well-being and quality of life.
I enjoy working with pre-engaged and premarital couples and feel honored to walk through the season leading up to marriage with them. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and love using this curriculum to address all the different topics important for establishing a strong foundation in marriage.
I'm also able to see clients through confidential video counseling- this can be a great option for those needing the flexibility of being able to meet for counseling from the comfort of their own home or workplace. I'm currently able to see clients virtually who reside anywhere in the state of North Carolina. I will begin taking new clients again in Sept '22
