Hi! I'm Lauren, and I know reaching out for help can be a difficult task for some. However, you can only move forward if you take the first step which can feel like a huge step! I am a clinical social worker that creates a warm and supportive environment for the client to feel comfortable in. I meet clients where they are at, and believe no two clients are alike. I am trained in CBT, DBT, MI, EMDR. I have experience working at the highest level of care in a major NYC hospital, as well as out patient. I am not your typical therapist, as I use a blended approach with interactive feedback and motivational interviewing.
I have a CASAC, and trained in addiction. We are here to do the work to get you to where you want to be, and at times that can be hard work to dig deep within yourself, and push forward. If we fail, we all must fail forward- I am here to get you there. This will be done within your comfort levels. At the end of the day we are all walking each other home.
If you feel like you are stuck in a vicious cycle, been through many therapists, have found no change or very little, constantly ask yourself if you are “crazy”- you will not find that working with me. Together we can push through those limitations and break those thought patterns. You got this! And I will be there to support you every step of the way.
