Do you ever find yourself feeling anxious for no particular reason? Or maybe you struggle to turn off worry and intrusive thoughts? Is trauma causing ongoing problems including depression, difficulty in relationships and maybe even substance use? I work with adults who struggle with the pain of anxiety, depression, trauma or substance use. I provide skills training to clients who wish to improve their emotional regulation, develop healthier boundaries, and connect with others in meaningful ways while improving self-worth. I believe that you as the client are the expert in your world and I respect everyone’s journey without judgment.
I am trained in EMDR and have over 4 + years of experience working specifically with addiction in an outpatient setting. I also am trained in DBT and CBT. I prefer to take a person centered approach and let you as the client lead the way in our therapeutic collaboration while providing nurturing structure and guidance.
I became a therapist because of my own struggles with anxiety and trauma and have learned to cope on my journey. I feel fulfilled when I can share what I have learned and connect authentically with others. Life is difficult, but we can grow stronger and wiser and welcome each challenge and each new day.
