As your therapist, it’s my job to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’ve been in therapy for years or this is your first session, we will work together to figure out what will be most beneficial. Sessions can look a variety of ways. Maybe it’s processing a recent trauma, identifying and breaking unhealthy patterns, or building coping skills. Sessions together will be a safe space where you are accepted and a place to identify and change behaviors that are no longer serving us. I am passionate about helping clients have better relationship with their body, manage their stress/anxiety, and work through shame and perfectionism.
I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my work with clients. I work with many clients are coping with histories of complex trauma, Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Starting (or returning) to therapy can be scary, exciting, and so many more emotions. Some people turn to therapy when they're struggling, some like to have therapy on a more consistent basis to help get through ongoing stressors, and some people may not know exactly why they're seeking therapy.
