My name is Lauren MacPherson, LSCSW. I am trained in EMDR, brainspotting, CBT, and solution focused approaches. My primary areas of focus are trauma, anxiety, depression, and transitional life issues. I take a primarily client centered and trauma informed approach. I draw on aspects of CBT, DBT, and solution focused.
I aim to create a supportive, nurturing environment for my clients. People who step into my space leave feeling better than when they came in. I allow people space to heal. Some clients have said working with me feels like a warm hug.
I typically let clients take the lead on what goals they want to set. If it doesn't come from them, it's hard to get the buy in. I will provide suggestions I'd client's don't know where to start.
