I am a psychodynamic therapist with a collaborative, warm and relational style. What that means is I don't just sit back and listen; rather, I will work with you to provide support and feedback to help you address your unique challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma (I offer EMDR), and/or addictive behaviors and I also work with individuals navigating sexual and relationships issues. I am licensed to work with clients in NY and NJ and offer in-person or remote sessions.
Professionally, I have an MSW from Rutgers University and a PhD in Social Work from New York University. In addition to my work as a therapist, I'm a behavioral health researcher with expertise in trauma, mental health and addiction. My dual background in research and practice means the work that I do is current and evidence-based.
Please feel free to reach out for a 15 minute consultation. I know it can be tough to find the right therapist and I am committed to supporting you not in working with me, but in working with the best therapist for you. If I'm not the best fit for you, I will provide you with referrals and resources that are.
