My role is to be someone who will listen, be present, and help you navigate the sometimes rocky road ahead. I work to provide a safe and judgment-free space so that you can connect with who you are, what you want for yourself, and your unique ability to grow and heal. We all face challenging territory at one time or another. We may find ourselves afraid, in pain, or just numb. I work with individuals ages 15 and up experiencing various concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, shame, substance use, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, job and school challenges, relationship challenges, and other mood concerns.
I draw on a range of methods and understandings to tailor the therapy to you—based on what makes sense to you and what makes a practical difference in resolving concerns. I blend cognitive and somatic approaches, so we will work with thoughts and beliefs, as well as unpleasant sensations in the body. Somatic skills help to resolve stress with more ease.
Making that first appointment can be a challenging step. If you are interested in beginning counseling, don't hesitate to contact me to schedule that first appointment and to see if we are a good fit for working together towards your goals and aspirations! I look forward to connecting with everyone that walks into my counseling space!
