I see psychotherapy as an active, collaborative process and try to foster an atmosphere of safety and support, so that we can understand the painful patterns and issues interfering with your leading a more satisfying, fulfilling life. I believe psychotherapy can be a life-changing experience, but I know reaching out for help can feel daunting. I'm a clinical psychologist with training in relational psychoanalysis at NYU, and Harvard University's Massachusetts Mental Health Center. I've been practicing, teaching, and supervising psychotherapy with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures for 25 years.

I've written articles and presented at professional conferences on issues such as creativity and writer's block, trauma and shame, and separation, loss and mourning. I'm also interested in and sensitive to issues of acculturation and cultural identity.
