My passion is in helping others experience the transformative power of self-compassion. It's been the key to my own emotional health, and I love sharing the freedom it provides with others. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and current candidate at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute working towards a certification in psychoanalysis. As your therapist, I understand everyone heals differently, and as such, I use an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to fit your individual needs. I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, relationship issues and trauma.
I utilize psychoanalytic theory and attachment theory to gain insight into how our past relationships influence how we relate to ourselves and others in the present. I also teach mindfulness-based interventions as practical skills to help alleviate and regulate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Through the therapeutic relationship we will learn to welcome, hold and metabolize your losses, and thus find the vitality waiting for you on the other side.
