Are you struggling to balance work/school, relationships and self-care? Are you feeling anxious and overwhelmed? You are not alone. I work with teens, young adults, and adults to see where they are struggling, and how they can move forward with more clarity and self-compassion. I come from a mindfulness-based perspective, and have a strengths-based and Buddhist orientation. I believe that my clients - with the right support - can make meaningful changes that will improve their overall well-being and enhance their relationships.
I have been in the social work field for over 20 years, and have focused on: life transitions, maternal mental health, parenting challenges, family stress, LGBTQ+, immigration and acculturation, and adolescent mental health. I incorporate mindfulness into my work with clients and have been trained in CBT and DBT.
Often we compound our struggles by failing to provide ourselves with grace and self-compassion. I work with clients to find out where they are getting stuck, while fostering curiosity and self-awareness, and finding positive ways to move forward. I am supportive, nonjudgmental, and believe in my clients' abilities to make positive changes in their lives.
