I work primarily with adults, but have experience working across the age-spectrum including children and families. I perceive behavior as communication of unmet needs, and help to identify barriers to meeting these needs. I aim to support clients who struggle in postpartum, severe and persistent mental illness, substance use, trauma, adoption-related issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, mood disorders, developmental delay, grief/bereavement, relationship issues, chronic suicidal ideation, and crisis intervention. I specialize in perinatal mental health, and have received training in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders.
I approach situations with a holistic, trauma-informed perspective with focus on the biopsychosocial model. I consider how trauma, childhood, and past experiences impact current situations, and aim to support each client where they are today to overcome challenges. I view my role as bearing witness to the journey of each client.
