My approach to therapy starts with creating a safe environment where clients feel comfortable. I incorporate empathy, warmth, collaboration, and genuineness to build trust and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. I use a flexible, integrative approach to meet the unique needs of each client where they are by combining various aspects of CBT, DBT, and MI.
I like to focus on client strengths, values, and growth to help increase functioning and to allow clients to lead more meaningful lives. I specialize in providing individual therapy with adolescents (ages 13+), young adults, and adults with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, and other presenting problems.
