I currently have immediate openings. The impact of trauma can be so sneaky! You may find yourself repeating patterns that are no longer helpful, experiencing issues in relationships, or filtering the world through a negative lens. Other times, the link to trauma is clearer, feeling like you’re reliving a past event, having repeated nightmares, or avoiding certain places/people/situations that remind you of the trauma. This can feel hopeless and exhausting. I am certified in EMDR, which is a “brain based modality”. This means it actually changes your brain, allowing you to relate to past trauma in less distressing ways.
With EMDR we help your brain begin to heal itself, not just by changing thoughts but by allowing you to somatically embody safety and wholeness. Using a blend of attachment, parts work, ACT, and polyvagal practices we can collaborate to find a treatment that is best for you. If you like to get creative, I enjoy incorporating art into sessions too!
Whether it’s your first time starting therapy or you’re giving it another go, I would be honored to accompany you. It matters to me that your needs are met, so even if we’re not a good fit I am committed to helping you find someone else. I believe that people can find hope even after the most difficult of situations.
