I have a heart for clients of all ages and I believe it is never too early or too late to take any step in a positive direction. I have a passion for people with a history of trauma, abuse and/or addiction and I enjoy adolescents and adults alike. I believe that the one hour you devote to yourself during the therapy process will have a positive effect on the remaining 167 hours you will live during the week.
I am a trained EMDR therapist, with additional training in EMDR 2.0, Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brainspotting, and Trauma Informed Art Therapy techniques. I have completed level two of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, as well as Imago.
I often focus on the combination of mind, body, and behavior during the therapy process in order to help my clients best cope with life's difficulties. I like the approach of arming my clients with a "tool kit" they can take with them from my office into everyday life.
