Hi! I am Lauren, Licensed Professional Counselor. I Love what I do. I have been providing therapy for 15+ years in a variety of settings; inpatient hospitalization, outpatient group therapy & private practice. I work with symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss, relationship problems and those who are generally resistant to therapy. My training and therapeutic approach is driven by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT explores the impact our thoughts have on our feelings and behavior. I wholeheartedly believe that changing our thinking can change our lives.
Our first session I will ask an important question: "What brought you here?" This will provide an opportunity for you to share your story; your current difficulties, symptoms and how you typically cope when things get hard. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to share your story in an open and honest way. This vulnerability creates a safe space for change.
