About
In working together, I strive to move you towards a valued, meaningful life while decreasing suffering. I use a flexible blend of evidence-based treatment tailored to your personal values and goals, incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness and Acceptance-based Behavioral Therapies. I bring an open, curious, and nonjudgmental stance to sessions, and am both compassionate and direct in my approach. I am a clinical psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
I have extensive expertise treating patients who have experienced trauma and highly stressful life events, depression, anxiety, sleep problems, and self-esteem/self-compassion challenges. I balance my training and knowledge with your needs, hopes, and goals for treatment. I believe therapy is an active process, and I assign outside practice work.
Don't hesitate to reach out via email or phone if you are curious about what I may offer! I specialize in treatment of trauma and stressor-related disorders, anxiety, depression, and sleep problems. I use evidence-based treatments (CBT, ACT, DBT) in my practice, identifying collaborative treatment goals, and guiding clients towards a life worth living.
