About
“The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.” ― Albert Ellis. Oftentimes what hinders us from moving forward toward our goals is our own thoughts; memories of failure or even a perception of potential failure can keep us frozen in a pattern of stagnation, which can increase feelings of depression, anxiety and low self-worth.
I believe in exploring thoughts and beliefs that continue to hold us back. I have an eclectic approach to therapy; while I believe there is value in exploring the past to learn about why we do the things we do or continue to follow a maladaptive pattern of behavior, I believe most therapeutic work should focus on the present.
I encourage you to reach out; let's work together to identify where you are stuck and come up with real-life strategies to learn to manage life's ups and downs in a completely safe, non-judgmental environment where you will leave session feel supported and empowered.
