I believe we live by the stories we tell ourselves, until we learn new stories. Whether it is the story of a relationship or our stories as individuals, we can always author new empowering stories of “us” through collaborative, trauma-informed, intersectional work addressing systems of power and oppression.
Every individual, child, and couple is unique, and may resonate with different therapeutic models and interventions. My approach draws from emotion-focused therapy (EFT), parts work, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy in tandem with creative expressions like sand tray, and play therapy with children.
