I love working with individual clients of all ages. I worked with children as a teacher for years, using humor and play, but I realized the relationship is really what I valued about the work; so I left teaching and became a counselor! Through humor and compassion, my style is up front, working side-by-side with clients of all ages. In addition to talk therapy, we might also use expressive arts, play, or incorporation of other activities based on whatever the client needs.

I have worked with children and families for over 20 years, including work with LGBTQ youth and their parents; most recently as a counselor and previously as an elementary and middle school teacher and gifted specialist in Jeffco schools. I'm trained in EMDR, CBT, Client Centered & Gestalt play therapy, and therapy for neurodiverse individuals.

Therapy is an opportunity to walk together with you to help you understand yourself better. I use an integrative approach considering multiple research-based approaches to therapy. This work emphasizes strengths, focusing on what has gone right in your life to help figure out how to address what feels like it’s going wrong.
