I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in New York State with two decades of experience in behavioral health. My work has taught me that anxiety and life stress can interfere with many aspects of our lives, and these experiences are unique to everyone. I am also a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Clinician, trained in working with those who have experienced emotional, psychological, and physical abuse by narcissistic and antagonistic individuals.
Our first session will be focused on two different areas - first, us getting to know each other a bit better; second, goal setting - what do you wish to get out of our time together? Sometimes this is clear and can be addressed immediately and sometimes it takes a little longer but we will start working on this from our first hour together.
My therapeutic approach is a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (related to why we think, feel, and behave the way we do), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (focuses on living in alignment with personal values and increasing psychological flexibility to achieve life goals) and strengths-based work.
