Children are my passion. I have built my practice around providing a safe and inviting space for children to young adults where they can openly explore their unique challenges. Issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, bullying or trauma are experienced differently in children due to their various developmental stages and life experiences. Understanding these stages are important as we collaborate to tackle the tough stuff together. Discovering inner strengths and improving self-compassion are just a couple ways to begin that healing.
Therapy truly begins with a trusting relationship. I work diligently to provide a secure environment where clients, ages 5-22, can feel safe to be open without judgment. Through warmth, curiosity, humor and unconditional support, my office is a space where clients are able find their voice.
My background as an LPC-S and years as a School Counselor has provided me with an understanding to the wide range of educational, social, emotional, and behavioral struggles children face. I use this insight to offer an evidence-based approach when partnering with parents to effectively meet their family's specific needs.
