Hello, I’m Laura Plummer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Social Work. At Anwari Counseling, I provide compassionate therapy for teens (12+) and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.
I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of domestic violence. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where my clients can explore difficult emotions and process some of life’s most challenging experiences.
My therapeutic approach integrates trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and evidence-based counseling techniques to help clients build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop greater inner peace and confidence. I utilize methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
In addition to my clinical work, I have participated in international mission work, which has given me a deeper understanding of cultural transitions and culture shock. When requested, I can incorporate faith-based Christian counseling into session (completely optional).
