I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified EMDR therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience. The basis of my practice is developing a supportive, safe and collaborative relationship with you while helping you access your inner resources. I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and faiths. Issues commonly addressed includes trauma, college student concerns, anxiety, depression, stress and relationship issues.
I employ evidence-based interventions including CBT, mindfulness, interpersonal and EMDR. Many people prefer EMDR due to the profound (often rapid) relief and positive growth fostered by the approach, which doesn't require extensive exposure, homework or reliving of painful experiences.
I have been utilizing EMDR since 2012 and achieved certification by the EMDR International Association in 2015 after attaining substantial education, consultation and clinical experience beyond the basic, level II training. My background includes work in mental health, child advocacy and schools. I look forward to hearing from you!
