If you have had an experience that seems traumatic to you despite what others may think or say, or any extremely stressful life challenge recently or in the past, I specialize in helping with these issues. If there is something you have never shared with anyone or are frightened by the prospect of disclosing what you've carried for a long time, I am here to listen. The impact of distressing experiences may result in extreme anxiety or fear, episodes of depression, repeated difficulties in personal or family relationships and even physical health issues. Emotional experiences during developmental years may result in complex PTSD.
As a family psychiatric nurse practitioner and psychotherapist, I have advanced clinical training in developmental & shock trauma. Trauma is often the underlying source contributing to symptoms of depression, anxiety & relationship issues. My trauma-focused training in NARM® & Somatic Experiencing® brings a much needed option for clients in need of healing.
I am very approachable, compassionate & non-judgmental. Although I listen with complete attention, our sessions will always be interactive. My current clients say that I am very easy to talk to, and that my honesty & openness allows them to feel comfortable to talk about whatever is on their minds. Social Skills
Do you have a child that would benefit from expanding their social skills? We are offering a new in-person 12 week group for children 8-10 years old from February 10-April 28, 2026. Each weekly session will be held for 90 minutes. Screening will be required prior to participation to insure that each child is a good fit for the group. This group will be beneficial for your child to enhance communication skills like voice volume, personal space, empathy, emotion identification, conversation, sharing, and flexibility. Each week will cover new material and build on the previous weeks' content.
