Are you worried about your child? Are they struggling with social-emotional or behavioral difficulties? Reaching out for help is the first step. I have experience working with children ages 5-11 in both therapeutic and academic settings. I have a relaxed, easygoing demeanor and quickly build rapport with children, as trust is the first step toward building a strong therapeutic relationship. Ultimately, I believe the relationship is what heals and the child intrinsically knows how to and has the capacity to heal.
I utilize a depth-oriented, child-centered approach grounded in family systems theory. I also value a holistic approach that connects mind and body specifically through the use of expressive arts, sand tray and play therapy. I embody a sense of encouragement, exploration, and open-mindedness that contribute to successful therapeutic work.
I find it rewarding when a child feels understood and supported as their sense of self begins to strengthen. It is honor for me to support a child on their journey toward healing and wholeness, as I believe there is an innate healing capacity within each child.
