You've probably done some version of this before. The journaling. The books. The conversations with people who care about you. And something still hasn't shifted. That's not a sign you're doing it wrong. That's a sign the part of you that needs to change might not live in your thoughts at all. The goal here isn't to feel good all the time. It's to feel steady inside the life you already have, regardless of what you've been carrying. That's where this work starts. I work with adults and teens who have a sense that something is getting in the way and want to figure out what it is. A lot of my clients have tried therapy before.

They're self-aware, they've done the reading, and the talking has only gotten them so far. That's usually a sign the work needs to go somewhere the words haven't reached yet. I bring EMDR and IFS into this work because I've seen what happens when people stop trying to think their way out of things and start working with what the body already knows.

I'm certified in EMDR and currently completing my IFS certification because these approaches work. If you're thinking about reaching out, that instinct is worth paying attention to.
