I see counseling as a process in which we work as a team. I love helping people pursue a greater understanding of how their past experiences or patterns affect the present. I especially love working with women trying to become mothers or being mothers in our complex world.
In my work with couples, I love to explore how our individuality and experiences impact the day to day while teaching curiosity, empathy and compassion with clear, healthy boundaries. For couples therapy, I encourage 'intensive' sessions which are extended sessions beyond the normal 55 minutes that help us make progress in weeks rather than months!
I help clients change negative thoughts while connecting to parts of yourself that influence how we respond to experiences. This allows us to tackle traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, grief, peri/postnatal mood changes, relationship/attachment issues, parent-child relationship conflict, and the usual adjustment strains to life.
