I am often described as a warm, calming, and collaborative therapist with a good sense of humor. I have an interest and experience in working with the BIPOC community and LGBTQ+ community and enthusiastically provide queer-affirming and trans-affirming care. I believe that a person-centered, strengths-based, and integrative approach creates a therapy experience to fit your needs. I also have extensive experience in trauma and/or substance abuse, along with anxiety, depression (both adults and children ages 9 and up), mood disorders, change of life stressors, and divorce and coparenting skills.
I work from a client centered approach incorporating techniques from multiple therapeutic modalities such as: CBT/DBT (change my thoughts to change behaviors), ACT (acceptance), existential-humanistic (focus on lived events), social-constructive (we are a result of the environment). I strive to provide a comfortable, non-judgmental and safe environment.
