Welcome, all. My name is Laura and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I work with clients of all ages and a broad range of mental health concerns, but focus on anxiety and depression, LGBTQ clients, and relationship concerns. My holistic approach utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy: I focus on changing thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. I get to know what works for each individual, because there is no one-size-fits all approach to therapy! I'm passionate about helping people solve their problems, and I look forward to working with you.
Life is difficult enough as it is, and I strongly believe that therapy should be easy, relaxed, and chill. Bring your dog or cat to session, put on your comfiest clothes, and unwind for the day. I aim for you to leave each session feeling a little more hopeful and having tools to use to manage symptoms.
In the first session, conversation is free flowing and relaxed, and most people spend time helping me get to know them and what brings them in.
