Hi there, it is nice to meet you! I’m Laura, and I’d love to share a bit about myself as a therapist and what you can expect working with me. As your therapist, I will focus on using a person-centered approach and hold positivity and unconditional support for you as my client. My goal is for you to always feel safe and comfortable in sharing areas of vulnerability so we can work together in making progress towards your goals. This means you will have me in your corner as someone who will be compassionate and direct in our conversations, and holding space for you.
In my practice I utilize many different modalities and techniques, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT,) Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR.)
It is my belief that therapy is a wonderful addition to a person’s routine and I have seen the benefit through my work across many different communities and settings. My experience ranges from helping people struggling with depression and anxiety, people with relationship concerns, college students with disabilities, gender-diverse people, and many more.
