I deeply believe in the human capacity for growth in the face of incredible adversity. Pain is oftentimes inevitable, but suffering is optional. For those brave enough to reach out for support in trying times, I offer a new way to draw upon inner strengths and reframe how you relate to your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My aim is to compassionately work with you to understand your concerns and their impact.
At your pace, we can explore problematic obstacles, while gently introducing more adaptive, flexible ways of engaging with life and moving towards your goals. You may discover that it is your own inner sense of knowing, self-love, and willingness to commit to making changes that will ultimately guide the way through the darkness.
I adopt an integrative, humanistic approach, drawing upon cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I've completed level one trainings in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and John Gottman’s approach to couples therapy.
