I have experience and expertise in working with adoptive children and families. My practice has shown me that I have a particular skill with adolescents and young adults in particular. Clients in the LGBTQ+ community and in alternative lifestyles will find an open-minded and welcoming presence in me. I have expertise in and enjoy working with transgender teens and young adults. I seek to help empower clients to find inner resources to fulfill their life goals. We are all on our own journeys and finding folks to accompany us are well worth the time and effort. Walk with me.
I have trained with Dan Hughes regarding attachment disordered children and with Bruce Perry whose theory on a neurodevelopmental approach to treatment I find exciting. I trained with Ricky Greenwald and am certified in EMDR. And, I continue to expand my knowledge and understanding of both transgender folks and neurodivergent ones.
I have a solo private practice out of my home office which affords clients a great degree of comfort in attending therapy and helps to remove the stigma some clients may feel in a more office-type setting. My space is a warm, comforting and safe one. Hopefully, you will feel safe here with me!
