Congratulations on starting a therapy journey ! I have been working with people struggling with chronic illness/pain, stress&anxiety for a decade as a health&life coach, and later on as a therapist. I went back to school when I realized the level our psyche and past trauma play into our current day health. While I am grateful for my clinical training, I always say my greatest training is from being in your exact seat. I have sat in the client seat for years with many gifted people and continue to do so, often with those who made me dig DEEP. It allows me much greater depth with my clients and is the approach I embody with clients.
Most of my clients will say I offer immense compassion but will also challenge you to look deeply at the stuff you may be (consciously/or unconsciously) turning away from. I look beyond a label and consider each person as a make up of the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. I will use a blend of tools individualized to each person.
I have a health coach background focused on wellness, and I also have extra coursework in psychopharmacology and have collaborated with many clients’s psychiatrists. I believe holistic means to use all the tools we have available to us. I have worked with clients from all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. I look forward to walking on your path with you!
