I am a counselor with over 20 years of experience. I work with adults and adolescents (ages 13+). My clients are generally struggling with difficult life experiences such as abuse and trauma and are seeking new ways to cope with the challenges of their past and present lives. Together, we work towards getting to the root of their problems that have resulted in trauma symptoms, grief, anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, and low self-esteem so they can begin to heal from their past. My clients play an active role in their own recovery, and their collaboration is vital to creating their plan to wellness.
I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBR to help clients' resolve core issues, relieve distressing emotional symptoms, and gain new insights into their life experiences that continue to have a residual effect on their life. These methods tap into the brain's innate healing ability to naturally move clients towards mental health and emotional wellness.
Because I understand the courage it takes to make that first step to seek out help, I strive to offer an empathetic, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for clients to begin their journey to wellness. I collaborate with clients to tailor treatment to their specific situations and needs. I offer day and evening appointments.
