Hello! My name is Laura and I am an experienced clinical counselor and I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults and their families for 10 years. I enjoy helping clients navigate issues of depression, anxiety, low self esteem, challenges with school, help with relationships and support them in reaching their goals. I work with grief and loss, identity and life transitions. I have worked with acute issues as well including self harm, suicide, and trauma. I use a culturally sensitive lens and focus on attachment, family systems, mindfulness and cognitive behavior therapy to increase positive coping skills.
I work from a relational and strengths based approach to meet the client where they are and collaborate to create a treatment plan and goals. I have a warm and honest approach and work best with clients who want to partner in this work. I feel strongly in client support systems and like to work with families when appropriate.
Life can be challenging and I am here to help you work towards being happier and better able to achieve your goals. Together we can work towards establishing manageable goals.
