Laura Elena Zarandona's Groups
S.C.R.I.B.E
Led by Katherine Jongsma, LMHCA. Saturday mornings 9-10:00 a.m. over Zoom. Cost: $180/6 weeks. A six-week skills-building group to process trauma, anxiety, disconnection, and depression, and strengthen a “resourced state of being” using strategies from EMDR. Everyone’s brain and body has a hidden gold mine of positive experiences that can give us strength when we face a difficult circumstance, relationship, distressing thoughts and feelings, or recurring traumatic memories. By the end, clients will have created a personalized book of six resources for use in focused mindfulness and, if they should choose, preparation for trauma processing in individual therapy.
Transformations
Facilitated by Jessica Jackson LSW Thursday 4:30-5:30PM via Zoom. 6-week group for transgender and gender non-conforming teens to support their journey of transitioning. Love can be transforming by giving us strength and direction as it starts inside of us. Our aim is to provide teens a safe place to express themselves, to connect to their community, and to develop coping skills to handle their emotions. Psychoeducation and evidence-based tools will be used to help facilitate, and encourage healthy behaviors, building stronger relationships with others, and harnessing the strengths that we each have inside of ourselves.
