Welcome! Congratulations on taking care of yourself by finding a therapist who is a good fit for you. My style is positive and interactive, and my goal is for you to feel safe, comfortable, accepted and supported throughout our time together. In addition to Talk Therapy, I offer Interactive Guided Imagery, Reiki Energy Healing, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. You may choose from any of these modalities as all are covered by insurance.
Talk Therapy is a linear means of processing emotion. It is what most of us think of when we think about working with a therapist. Interactive Guided Imagery and Reiki are non-linear forms of healing. Interactive Guided Imagery is a tool for focusing inward to draw upon your own rich internal resources for healing, insight and growth.
Reiki is a Japanese form of Energy Medicine which provides multidimensional healing for mind, body and spirit. Animal-Assisted Therapy is a means of reducing distress by interacting with an animal. My therapy dog Rosie loves to be held, snuggled, and scratched during our sessions, and she is my co-therapist on the Reiki table.
