I enjoy working with clients motivated to work on the issues they identify as having had negative impact in their lives or issues that they feel are holding them back from living the life they want. I work a great deal with clients struggling with anxiety or depression with the goal of working jointly to learn the tools to move forward successfully and with confidence in their strengths and abilities.
I have been successful in working with clients experiencing depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. I have also worked with those needing help with past trauma, anger management and coping skills. I have experience in working with people who have chronic diseases including, chronic kidney disease and HIV.
I believe, from personal and professional experience, that therapy can have a profound effect on how satisfied and fulfilled we feel in our lives. I feel that too often we carry negative feelings and behaviors that are counter productive to living our best life. With the right therapist, and the desire to change, there is hope for a better life.
