Hi, I'm Laura. I went back to get a master's degree in social work at the age of 40, eager to learn as much about mental health as possible, and to use what I learned to sit with others who are struggling, and provide support. Four years later, and I am on the cusp of becoming a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I enjoy working with people of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, midlife changes, parenting challenges (especially those related to parenting neurodivergent kids), and grief/loss. I provide strength-based, compassionate support, and practical tools to address your concerns.
I integrate CBT, mindfulness, parts work and AEDP in my work with clients. We all learn various strategies to try and get through life's hard moments, and none of those responses are bad; they are rooted in our struggle to survive. In therapy with me, you will learn to look more closely at patterns that are no longer serving you, and find new ways of being.
I believe deeply in every human's innate wisdom, and capacity for positive growth, and would be honored to accompany you in this process.
