Competitive and retired athletes/performers, people with anxiety/stress, and people suffering from insomnia. I am one of the only clinicians in the country who is certified in CBT, CBT-Insomnia, and Sports Psychology/CMPC (Certified Mental Performance Consultant). As a former DI athlete, I bring a personal and professional understanding to the table. I have worked with collegiate athletes at all Division levels and am additionally licensed in the following states: New York (NY), Georgia (GA), Nevada (NV), Vermont (VT), South Carolina (SC), Delaware (DE), Connecticut (CT), New Mexico (NM), Tennessee (TN), and Pennsylvania (PA)
CBT focuses on the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You will learn how to identify faulty thinking patterns and how to challenge and reframe your thoughts to be more accurate and helpful. Along with behavioral interventions, this technique will help you feel better, perform better, and/or sleep better in order to reach your full potential.
I take a solution focused, goal oriented, short term approach to therapy. My goal is to help you reach your therapeutic goals as soon as possible, and for you to learn the tools you need to help make your life better so that you don't need me anymore! I use predominantly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while incorporating elements of DBT.
