I help my clients improve and accomplish positive, meaningful life change and become free from unwanted attitudes, behaviors or feelings. I consider it a privilege to coach and guide another person through mental health, life adjustment, relationship or family struggles. Therapy is a process of assisted growth and change. It often involves clearing out old and new difficulties while discovering, applying and practicing new approaches. I strive to build therapeutic relationships that are based on confidentiality and trust where my clients remain in charge of what occurs in every session as we work toward mutually defined goals.
I've had many years of experience with adults, teens, couples and families and survivors of adverse experiences such as childhood abuse or neglect, dysfunctional family issues, family disruption and people who struggle with self-acceptance. I use a variety of counseling methods, am EMDR II and substance abuse trained and an adoption-competent professional.
