Laura Boggan, MS, NCP, LPC, MHSP, (temp), Counselor in Nashville
Life has its challenges. Adverse experiences and traumatic occurrences can change us, and our perceptions of subsequent events. In our relationships, and during times of heightened stress, our learned way of seeing things can then further increase our difficulties, just when we already feel we can scarcely cope. This is where therapy comes in. We can greatly reduce the impact of past negative and traumatic experiences and enhance your ability to enjoy life and connection with others. I am accepting new clients now, and would be honored to help you begin healing.
One treatment option is EMDR, to address trauma, fears, & childhood experiences. I also treat migraines & tension headaches. I work with individuals to resolve shame, spiritual and ethical struggles, grief/loss, & life transitions. I am knowledgeable about ACA and other 12-Step recovery, and work well with GLBT clients.
I specialize in an evidence-based, non-medical treatment of migraines and tension headaches. I am now accepting new clients for individual therapy and/or upcoming groups. For questions, let's do a brief no-cost phone call. Thanks.

Laura Boggan's Groups

Real Relationships

This ongoing group is healing work for past wounding that may have manifested in emotional separation from self (lack of awareness of feelings) and from others. Clients will focus on getting to know the authentic self and laying a foundation for fulfilling relationships with others. Individuals dealing with codependency, rebuilding after a divorce or ending, or with family of origin issues impacting their current partnership would be good candidates. Participants must be working with an individual therapist to be approved for the group.
