Thrivers: Trauma Survivors Group
Group counseling has demonstrated to be an effective tool to help support clients with a history of physical, emotional, psychological, and sexual maltreatment. The THRIVERS Group at Aurora aims to create a compassionate setting to safely engage with others who share similar experiences. This group endeavors to provide you and others with the social support needed to help transform feelings of shame, distress, and isolation into feelings of empowerment, strength, and resilience. Groups are being created for teens, college students, and adults, which will meet once a week for one hour and 15 minutes.

At Aurora, a safe and engaging environment will help you explore your emotions and learn how to attune to the feelings of others. Over time, you will begin to understand your identity and relationship patterns better, and develop new skills to improve the quality of your relationships.
