I am passionate about helping clients express feelings, adopt helpful thought patterns and achieve meaningful change. I take a holistic view of counseling and my approach is responsive toward the unique needs and strengths of every client. I work to create a safe and encouraging environment where clients can feel valued and heard. I work with clients of all ages and provide play therapy, activity therapy and talk therapy. I have experience with issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, aggression, and school refusal.

I have extensive training on incorporating spiritual issues in the counseling process. I work with clients from all faiths and worldviews and I'm able to offer Christian counseling to clients who prefer it.

As a Cuban-American, I have a familiarity with multicultural contexts and Hispanic culture. I offer bilingual therapy for Spanish speakers.

UPC Social Skills Camp

This extremely interactive camp is designed to help boys and girls learn teamwork skills, develop better conversation skills, enhance their self-confidence, and learn to handle conflicts peacefully. The UPC Social Skills Camp brings together small groups of children, based on their age to specifically work on three core areas: (1) strengthening and developing new social skills; (2) increasing self-confidence, self-control, and self-esteem; and (3) learning to successfully participate in conversations and positive social exchanges needed to effectively build and maintain social relationships. Group dates and times vary by age group. See our website for more details.
