I am a licensed clinical psychologist located in the Back Bay. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults with a range of needs. My broad goal is to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility -- an essential skill for coping with distress and maintaining focus on living a meaningful life. I help my clients work through depression, reduce anxiety, navigate transitions, cope with trauma, and recognize patterns in their relationships. I also specialize in coping with chronic illness.

I draw on several therapy approaches (CBT, ACT) for developing coping skills, as well as psychodynamic theory for gaining insight into underlying problems. Before entering private practice, I trained and worked within the area's major teaching institutions and hospitals, where care is focused on the most effective means of improving behavioral health.

I suggest that we speak on the phone at no charge to discuss how we might work together, at which time we also can review practical information concerning fees and any other questions you may have. I do not accept insurance, but will provide documentation to clients who wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" coverage.
