Middle School Anxiety Support Group
This group exists to help middle schoolers cope with anxiety. This is a 10 week group session where each session will be 50 minutes once a week. The goal of this group program is to help members reduce frequency, intensity, and duration of anxiety, resolve the conflict that is the source of their anxiety, and enhance their ability to cope. Group members will learn social skills, relaxation skills, cognitive restructuring and reframing to challenge negative thinking patterns. This supportive group will allow adolescents to share experiences while providing encouragement and comfort to each other.
