I have a sincere passion for working systemically with adolescents, families, couples and individuals. I also provide specialized care centering Women's Issues (including perinatal and reproductive related concerns). I utilize a multifaceted approach to treatment in order to help clients gain insight into their various behavioral, emotional, and thought processes. Rooted in a multicultural framework, I respect and value culturally diverse perspectives and interventions. Not only am I an LGBTQIA affirmative therapist, but also sensitive to issues of race/ethnicity, class, religion and how they may influence the therapeutic process.
My preference is to work behaviorally and experientially while using the relationships in your life as a foundation. I have received specialized training in crisis intervention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to become a well-rounded therapist who is comfortable treating a diverse clientele.
I strive to maintain a safe, empathic, and collaborative space for clients. This allows us to build an authentic therapeutic relationship that emphasizes acceptance, yet challenges the client in order to facilitate a deeper understanding and promote change.
