Hi, I'm Latosha Haywood, LCPC, with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, and I'm really glad you're here.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a 911 call taker and as an Englewood native, those calls were often from my own community. That work taught me that people are so much stronger than they realize, and that having someone truly in your corner can make all the difference.
I especially love working with first responders, professionals navigating workplace burnout, and Black women carrying too much for too long. They are not broken. They are exhausted, and they deserve so much better.
Therapy with me is collaborative and judgment-free. We always go at your pace. I blend person-centered, narrative, and solution-focused approaches to help you reconnect with your strength and rewrite the story you have been telling yourself. I am EMDR-trained, a research-backed method that heals trauma and deeply held wounds even when words are hard to find.
I know reaching out isn't easy. For a lot of us, asking for help wasn't modeled, wasn't safe, or just wasn't something we were taught to do. But you being here tells me something important.
