About
My name is Dr. LaShonda Wooten. I am the Program Director of Journey Psychological & Coaching Services. We understand sometimes life throws a curve ball, and you find yourself on a path you did not expect. You may even feel stuck, and uncertain about the future. Maybe you are experiencing transitional issues, or struggling with the question "Who Am I." If this sounds like you, let us help. We believe that life is a journey and not a destination. Each person is unique. As such, we will collaborate with you on your desired goal. We want you to live, and not just exist, regardless of age, gender, religion, or circumstance.
I have 20 years of experience in this field. My work history, education, and clinical training afforded ample opportunities for diverse experiences with individuals, families, and groups. The goal is to focus on the whole person- emotionally, physically, mentally, and socially, as well as, your life's purpose and maybe a "new normal."
We also offer In-Home Therapy, and Residential Supportive Services to Assisted/Independent Living Homes. This a unique service for clients who have difficulty leaving their home. Group education/socialization opportunities are provided to help foster a sense of support among peers in these communities, so participants may come to realize they are not alone.
