I became a social worker because I love listening to people’s stories. I became a clinician because it trained me to walk with people on their journeys. I’m an educator because I believe life’s experiences are the ultimate teacher. I co-create maps with my clients using relationship and cultural-based theories.
I call the therapy office a dumping ground because people deserve a place to get rid of what’s weighing them down. We will sort through the load. We will examine what’s there and decide what’s necessary, what’s helpful, what’s tangled & whether we need to detangle or grab the scissors! I’ve got a pretty good toolbox to share with you.
